Dan Auerbach, lead vocalist and guitarist of The Black Keys, recently announced his new side project, The Arcs. Their debut album, “Yours, Dreamily” (set to be released Sept. 4th via Nonesuch Records), was written and recorded collaboratively – Dan shares the spotlight with members Richard Swift, Leon Michels, Homer Steinweiss, Nick Morshon, Kenny Vaughan and the women of Mariachi Flor De Toloache, with all of the musicians switching roles both instrumentally and vocally.
The Village had the privilege of recording The Arcs’ first official media appearance, where they tracked and filmed 3 of their songs live for KCRW Morning Becomes Eclectic, and several other programs. The band was so tight, you’d never know it was only their 3rd time playing together live!
The session was engineered by The Village’s own audio engineers, Ghian Wright and Matt Dyson. Check out the videos here!
